Cosmopolitan Magic: A Tale of Two Capitals (Barcelona & Madrid)

Day 1: Departure | Direct flight from Montreal (YUL) to Barcelona (BCN).

Day 2: Arrival & Gothic Charm | Arrival in Barcelona. Check-in and a stroll down the iconic La Rambla to soak in the Mediterranean atmosphere.

Day 3: Gaudí’s Masterpieces | A half-day panoramic tour featuring the breathtaking Sagrada Familia and the whimsical Park Güell. The evening concludes with an authentic Flamenco dinner and show on La Rambla.

Day 4: Medieval Girona & The Coast | A full-day guided excursion to the medieval city of Girona and the stunning shores of Costa Brava, including a traditional local lunch.

Day 5: Montserrat & Mountainside Vines | Journey to the Montserrat Monastery via cogwheel train. The afternoon features a boutique wine tasting and lunch nestled in the Catalan countryside.

Day 6: The High-Speed Connection | Scenic rail journey via high-speed train from Barcelona to the heart of Spain: Madrid. Our exploration led us to a local Mercado (Market)—a must-experience for any foodie (foodie paradise). This stunning iron-and-glass landmark is a "culinary cultural centre" where we sampled gourmet tapas, fresh Iberian ham, and local wines. It was the perfect, immersive introduction to Madrid’s world-class food scene.

Day 7: The Spanish Heartland | A comprehensive small-group excursion to the "Three Cities": Segovia, Ávila, and Toledo, complete with a curated local lunch from Madrid.

Day 8: We navigated Madrid’s grandest landmarks via a strategic Hop-On Hop-Off bus providing a perfect panoramic overview of the capital’s history. The day was highlighted by an immersive guided tour of the majestic Royal Palace, the largest functioning palace in Europe. From the lavish Throne Room to the Royal Armory, we explored the pinnacle of Spanish Baroque architecture before strolling through the serene Sabatini Gardens.

Day 9: Return to the Coast | Return rail journey to Barcelona for a final evening in the city.

Day 10: Homeward Bound | Direct flight from Barcelona back to Montreal.
